The most common mistake in bulk baby clothes buying is thinking in total units.

Pricing and production are organised per style, so a 1,000-piece order spread

across twenty styles behaves very differently from the same total across four.

Concentrating volume in fewer styles moves you into a better price tier and

simplifies packing; spreading it wide gives you a broader shelf but a higher

average unit cost.

How the price tiers work

Quotes step down at 10, 100 and 1,000+ pieces per style. Ready-collection

styles start at 10 pieces per style, which makes it realistic to test a style

before committing volume. Once a style proves itself, re-ordering at a higher

tier is where the margin appears.

Bulk buying vs private label production

Ready-collection bulk buying means neutral goods dispatched from existing

stock, typically in 3–7 business days. Private label means your own neck label,

care label, hangtag and packaging, typically from 100–300 pieces per style,

with a production run of about 4–6 weeks. Many buyers run both: ready

collection for speed and coverage, private label for the lines they intend to

own. The private label service covers tech packs, sampling

and production management.

Packing, labelling and inspection

Ask for the packing format up front — per-piece polybag, per-size inner carton

or mixed carton — because it determines how quickly you can put goods on a

shelf or into a fulfilment centre. Marketplace sellers usually need barcoded

per-piece packing; boutiques often prefer mixed cartons. Certificates for our
